Hello everyone, I have a little problem. I have a desktop PC running Windows 7, my main hard drive is partitioned into 2 parts, and I want to put my OS on an SSD.
I have used Macrium Reflect as software, but I always get an error message: failed 0.
I performed a CHKDSK on my C drive and found no errors, so I don’t know how to clone my HDD to my SSD.
Thanks in advance for your responses.

Hello,
How do you do that..??
Is your Macrium on the disk to be cloned when you perform the cloning..?? And is it the operating System... so its contents are not frozen to perform the cloning..
-- Is the size of the SSD capable of holding your entire HDD or at least a partition, the one with Windows..?
-- How is your SSD connected for this cloning..?? in the PC via SATA or externally via USB..?
-- What CHKDSK commands have you run..?? (chkdsk /f /r) and it's not necessarily enough..
-- Often SSD manufacturers have dedicated software for this migration... but you need to go find them on their website..
Here are plenty of details and nuances that change everything.

Hello,
try AOMEI Partition Assistant
your SSD must have at least the storage capacity of your Windows partition + 1GB for the boot system partition.

The BOOT partition is not 1GB... but approximately 100MB.
For a good cloning process, I recommend "Acronis True Image" on a Live CD and having both disks installed in a tower on the SATA bus... And above all, do not restart the PC immediately after cloning... You need to shut it down, then remove the HDD before restarting and booting on the SSD...

My SSD is connected externally via USB, but I performed the same operation when connecting it to my PC via SATA.
I ran the chkdsk /r command, and for the software, I will check the manufacturer's website.
Thank you for your response.
