Hello,

I just bought the Asus Strix Soar sound card, but one problem remains: it is not detected!
Not by Windows, not by the software provided by Asus, nor by anything else at all.
The card is properly installed as the light is on.

I have already spent two hours browsing English and French forums looking for a solution, but to no avail.
I hope one of you will find the solution!

My setup: Motherboard: Asus Prime X470 Pro
Processor: Ryzen 7 2700x

Configuration: Windows / Chrome 74.0.3729.157

Hello,
Have you installed the drivers correctly? https://www.asus.com/fr/Motherboards-Components/Sound-Cards/All-series/STRIX-SOAR/
Is it recognized in the device manager?
Have you set it as the default sound card?

Indeed, it does not appear in the device manager, so I cannot set it as default;

And I cannot install the drivers because the software does not detect my sound card.

Thank you for responding.

If your sound card is not detected by the device manager, it means that it is either improperly installed, not recognized, or misconfigured in the BIOS. If I were you, I would take a look in the BIOS.

What should I do in the BIOS? Because I don't know anything about it at all, sorry again...

I cannot help you as each BIOS is different depending on the motherboard manufacturer. Navigate through the BIOS menu bar and see if you notice anything regarding your sound card.
There are also driver updates; for example, I see there is a March 2019 update for your chipset. If you haven't installed it, you should do so. You will find everything on this page.

I found it; in fact, it was the PCIe port that wasn't working. I changed it and everything works fine now! Thanks again for your time!
