Hello,

We have just received the Bouygues decoder (Bbox 4K)
The decoder (Bbox 4K) is labeled Dts neural and dts 2.0+Digital Out.

We are wondering if we could watch the movie on TV (M6 or 6Ter) in Dts if the movie is in dts.

Best regards.

    Hello,
Yes, this box can output DTS and Dolby sound with an optical S/PDIF audio output.
To achieve Dolby surround, you need to connect the box to a 5.1 home theater system equipped with a digital optical input (or a 5.1 amplifier).

    But you're welcome
" but if we connect with HDMI, it normally works too "
Yes, but this output is occupied by the connection to the TV, right?
Or the HDMI output from the Box connected to an HDMI input on the amplifier
HDMI output from the amplifier to an HDMI input on the TV

And for your information, here is what my Denon 7.1 home theater amplifier indicates, and here, DD represents the "Dolby" logo, which is actually a D upright and a D upside down:
    - On France 3: Stereo and blah blah... too many regional relays to broadcast anything else...;-(

    - Some time ago, on all channels of the M6 group; DD digital + DD surround and it's the best of 5.1, even on shows like "searching for an apartment" or "almost perfect dinner"... for example, in silence, they illustrated it with the sound of a fly.... that flew around my living room... Unfortunately, for some time now, it's over, and it displays " DD Surround"

    - So currently on all channels except 3: DD Surround, variable quality depending on the source

All sources are connected to the Sony amplifier via HDMI, including the box, and one HDMI from the amplifier goes to the TV.
    Exactly as you say.
Can we get a DTS broadcast with the box?!
Maybe the box will convert to DTS.

    Hello Andy31200,

Thank you for getting back to us.
We have a 3D 7.1 amp, but if we connect via HDMI it should work as well. All operators have Dolby Digital 5.1 outputs, even with Bouygues, only for Blu-ray movies or USB only.

Well, we’ll see about that; for now, we’re waiting for the technician to come.
Anyway, thanks again and have a good evening.

Yes, OK for these connections that are the right and simplest ones, and it is noted in the specifications:
Its DTS and Dolby with S/PDIF audio output and HDMI

Now all the channels are roughly in DD 2.1, at Freebox or all operators?!

    Hello Andy31200,

After the installation of the equipment, we have some channels in DD 5.1 (channel 12 and channel 25).

Since there was a problem, the technicians came by and changed the optical cable, and now we only have DD 2.0.

    Have a good day

Thank you, we put it on "paastrouth" because that's all there is.
We don't know if it comes from the optical cable or not.
We wanted to reconnect the old cable, but we were afraid it wouldn’t work anymore.

No, the cable cannot be the cause.

We don't believe it comes from the chains because all of a sudden it becomes like this.

It mostly comes from Bouygues; nothing beats satellite or terrestrial reception for optimal sound and picture quality.

Normally their boxes should encode in DTS !!!
    Because their boxes do DTS

By calling 614 it's still pure.
They said your equipment (Amp or Sound Bar) is poorly connected.
We need to have the technicians come to check, it’s nonsense!!!
