Hello everyone,

Here is my question, I am using laposte.net for my personal/family emails.
Several times, and today I just sent an email in Bcc to several of my correspondents, and again this time I got this back:

Mail Delivery System:
stankova.gcn@gmail.com undelivered mail. Returned to Sender ???

I don't know this "stankova" and it doesn't appear in my addresses?? nor in my sent emails???
If anyone has any information, I would appreciate it

    Hello Dommbarr,

    A hypothesis: One of your contacts has had their email address hacked.
    A common scenario during such a hack is that the hacker sets up a forwarding rule in the account's preferences to forward incoming emails to a Gmail address they created, so that the victim does not receive the alert emails from their contacts who are receiving a scam attempt from them.
    If the Gmail address has since been deleted by the hacker and the forwarding is still in place in the hacked account, every contact who sends them an email will receive back this "undelivered" message from Gmail.

    You should try sending emails to each of your contacts one by one to find out which of them has this problem and alert them by phone (not by email).

    The corresponding name is not Stankova but apparently a certain Lilas; on the German contact page of Gard, we find this address http://www.gard-tourismus.com/startseite/nutzliches/nutzliches/schreiben-sie-uns
    If this means anything to you ... but the address may no longer be valid.

      Thank you for the response, I've looked closely and it's Stankova. I think the answer from Serbal22 below is the explanation.

      You didn't even check the link. At the bottom of the web page, we find the email address stankova.gcn, which is Lilas's email.

      but yes but yes I checked I tried the email, it is inoperative

      however I sent an email to one of my correspondents who is with @wanadoo, and it came back to me in Mail Delivery "stankova.gcn ....so that's why I said that Serbal22's explanation was the right answer.
