Install Snapchat on iPad 2 version 9.3.5

Hello, I have an old iPad 2, version 9.3.5 (it doesn’t allow me to download the newer versions) which still works pretty well as long as I don’t ask too much from it...
My 12-year-old son uses Snapchat on my phone (Honor 6X) since he doesn’t have a phone (not for lack of asking though, lol) and I would like to install it on the iPad, but it tells me I need at least version 10 to do so.
I have read various forums on the site about this issue, and I can’t seem to solve my problem (if it’s possible to do so) for several reasons:
- when I go to iTunes and type "Snapchat," it only offers me music or books, not apps
- when I click on the links in the forum to download older versions of iTunes, I end up on the Apple site but not on download pages
- I am officially useless in computing
If anyone has a bit of time and a lot of patience, I would be very grateful :-)
