Hello, yesterday (03/22/2019), my friend dropped my phone on the floor. I saw that there were no cracks, so I didn’t say anything. But when I wanted to check the time, I saw that the screen was just showing colored stripes. Of course, I panicked and I don’t know what to do. I don't know if it can be repaired, but I'm sure the problem is with the screen because the little sensor still lights up with notifications and the two buttons around the Home button still light up. I also no longer have touch functionality, but I managed to turn off my phone by pressing the power and volume buttons for 10 seconds. But when it turned back on, the issue persisted. I don't know what to do anymore; should I go see a repairman, should I buy another phone (which would disgust me)? And are there any methods to fix it myself?
Thank you very much for your answers. Here's a picture of my screen:

(the quality of the photo isn't great, but the kind of small spots on the screen are indeed what it looks like in reality)
Thank you

Hello

Breaking the LCD without breaking the screen? That's impressive.
I can't quite tell if it's an edge or not
In the meantime, you’re good to go for changing the screen ;-) You can find one for cheap, like €110, up to €150 (I'm talking about a real repair with an official screen and all), but in the case of an edge, forget it and just buy a new phone

Thank you for your response and no, it's not an edge (that reassures me a bit already)
Do you know what this repair is called?

"Screen change"
You search on Google Maps (sorry competition, but I have to say, Google did a great job on this one) for phone repair shops nearby, you compare reviews, check prices on-site, you negotiate
1 hour of research, 1 hour of travel, 30 minutes to visit the shops, 1 hour for repairs, 1 hour of travel.
In 4 hours and 30 minutes, your phone is as good as new and it should cost you less than €150.
I had an S5 4G+ repaired for €120 and an HTC 10 (same range and era as the S7) for €110 this way :-)
