Unable to open VirtualBox

Hello,
I have to submit an assignment that needs to be done with VirtualBox, but since yesterday it won't open anymore and displays an error message:
""Failed to acquire the COM object of VirtualBox.
The program will stop.
Error in C:\Users\Katana\.VirtualBox\VirtualBox.xml (line 25) -- UUID "{00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000000}" has zero format.

I have already tried uninstalling and reinstalling it, I even reset my settings/applications, but once reinstalled, the same message appears.
