Using my hard drive on PS4 and PC

Hello, here's my problem: my hard drive works on the PC when I format it from the PC, but my console does not recognize it. So I format it from the PS4, and it recognizes it and everything, but when I unplug it and plug it back into the PC, the PC does not recognize the hard drive. What should I do? I simply want to put 4K movies on my hard drive to play them on my PS4.

    Hello,
    It's impossible to use the same hard drive on a PC and a PS4; the PS4 has a very specific formatting that the PC cannot utilize. This is to prevent counterfeiting/modification of games that would be present on the hard drive.
