Remove whitespace between files

Hello,
I would like to know if there is a way to play music on my PC like on a CD player, that is to say, without gaps between tracks.
Let me explain: I have Wagner's operas and on the CD player they are played without interruption, as if it were a single file.
In my music library, they are in FLAC format, and on VLC and WMP I always have this problem.
Is there software that allows me to combine them into one file, or an option in PC players that I might not know about?
Thanks in advance to anyone who can help.

    Hello,

Thank you for your reply. When I open it in VLC, I still have this gap between the tracks. So, I went to Audacity where I can copy/paste the files and the result is quite satisfactory. This will be the solution I will apply to make it one file. Since I'm still figuring things out, it will take a long time to do (around 500 files), but I will finally be able to listen to this part of my music library.

    Best regards.

      Hello,

It's strange that you're having this issue with VLC. I did a test before replying to you with a CD that has multiple tracks. With the player of my Freebox, it's a nightmare: there are cuts of a few tenths of a second between the tracks!
So I extracted the content of the CD to mp3 with the same tracks. And I had no problems playing them with VLC or WMP: no cuts between the tracks.

    Good evening,

You can use VLC, which plays FLAC files.
The work you are interested in is previously saved in Music. VLC manages this library. When VLC is open, you will look for the composition in Music and start playback: the tracks play seamlessly.

The same is possible with Windows Media Player, but FLAC files are not supported; you will need to download the appropriate codecs:

To concatenate 2 files, you can use Audacity
    https://www.audacityteam.org/
You will find tutorials on YouTube for using this software and for merging files; for example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sDfA-iVHs_M
The output file must be in MP3.

    Sincerely

    Hello,
I just did a test by converting 3 files to MP3 Audio in VLC, but when I play them, the problem is still there.

Small addition: I tested a conversion to Audio CD (.wav) and it's much better. However, when I want to convert in batch, "Multiple files selected" appears in the destination file and I cannot change the destination.

      Here’s how I proceeded:
I saved the extracted MP3 files in the Music folder of Windows 10 (which oddly happens to be C:\Users\\MicrosoftEdgeBackups\Music).
And when playing from this folder, called "My Music" in VLC, I have no gaps between the tracks.

I just tried to read with Foobar 2000 and there, miracle, everything flows perfectly. I’m still going to rework all of it on Audacity to have it in the media library for the next version of VLC.
    Thank you for your help.
    Best regards.
