Paiement sécurisé Le Bon Coin vos avis ?
SolvedUtilisateur anonyme -

Paypal is not a payment method, nor a bank; it is a consumer credit company. It is you who owes money to them, not the other way around. By opening a Paypal account, you are signing a credit contract; you are purchasing consumer credit, and there are therefore no guarantees on deposits.
Paypal is a legal trick!
"PayPal (Europe) S.à r.l. et Cie, S.C.A. is a credit institution licensed in Luxembourg, pursuant to Article 2 of the law of April 5, 1993 on the financial sector and its amendment, and is subject to control by the applicable Luxembourg authority, the Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier, located at L-1150 Luxembourg."

https://www.paypal.com/fr/webapps/mpp/ua/legalhub-full?locale_x=fr_FR
Law of April 5, 1993, concerning the financial sector - Art. 2. The necessity of approval.
"No legal entity under Luxembourg law may carry out the activity of a credit institution without having a written approval from the Minister responsible for the Luxembourg Monetary Institute.
No one may be authorized to carry out the activity of a credit institution either under the cover of another person or as an intermediary for the exercise of this activity."
Paypal is not required to return your money because you do not actually have any deposits under Luxembourg law; you have converted your money into digital currency, somewhat like Bitcoin, and in exchange, Paypal grants you consumer credit; thus, you owe money to them. In the event of bankruptcy, Paypal is therefore not obliged to return your money, nor are insurers obliged to cover you, nor is there a deposit guarantee by a central bank.
And what if you started by reading your Paypal contract as well as the Luxembourg law it is linked to?
.
You haven't understood everything... PayPal offers a payment option in 4 installments, it's solely for that, this part of their terms. Before the implementation of the payment in 4 installments, this part of the terms didn't exist because it's simply an online bank. Luxembourgish yes, but still an online bank.
I am currently dealing with a case involving Leboncoin. I wanted to buy a guitar 200 km from my home.
The seller was not very keen on a check payment, even from the same bank, so he suggested the site's secure payment option. We agreed on this system, made the offer, and I made the payment by credit card (2200 euros, after all) on the site. We then arranged a meeting on July 10 to try out the guitar, and if it suited me, he would hand it over to me, and I would just have to validate the payment in front of him so that the site would transfer the money to his account within three days.
Unfortunately, on July 10, during the trial, the guitar was not suitable. There was no problem with the seller, who completely understood my point of view. So I didn't take the guitar and parted on good terms with the seller.
After that, I tried to contact Leboncoin, but there was no phone representative. So I exchanged emails with responses that were more or less relevant and impersonal, like "template response": contact the seller... find an amicable arrangement... you have a dispute with the seller, etc., etc., etc... except that I have no issue with the seller but rather with the possible communication with the site. Anyway, it seems quite complicated to recover the amount, and we have the unpleasant impression that they have nothing to do with the issue or that my case is completely exceptional and extraordinary.
However, what I mainly reproach the site for, which promotes its secure payment system, is not clearly indicating from the start what happens when the "pre-paid" product, received or handed over in person, is not suitable. Yet, this situation must be very common, especially when trying an instrument or physically discovering an object received or handed over in person. Given the quality of the exchanges, one could also think that the game is to hold onto the money for as long as possible.
To this day, after X messages exchanged, I still do not know when or how I will be able to recover the amount paid.
Personally, given my experience, I am not likely to make the same mistake again, and I don't even understand why consumer associations do not address these practices or why the DGCCRF allows such behavior. But in the current climate of great leniency towards very large companies, should we really be surprised?
Have a good evening.
If you do not have a dispute with the seller, ask them to cancel the sale via the messaging of Le Bon Coin. The refund will be instant to your account.
Best regards
Yes, I understand you and I'm no longer reassured about this site. I prioritize selling elsewhere, with home pickup. I just experienced a nice scam from a buyer. But as a buyer, I never used online purchases anyway. And what I just went through with a loss of €50 and a broken camera, sent in good condition, never again this site. Indeed, the emails are off the mark, no phone number, etc. I'm going to delete everything with them without regrets ????
I sold an item for €250. I received the money from the buyer in my wallet, but when I tried to transfer the money to my bank account, Le Bon Coin transferred it to the wrong IBAN instead of mine. It's been a month and a half that I've been trying to recover my €250, but nothing works; I haven't received any responses from them for the past 10 days now.
I only buy in small amounts.
I've never had any problems; my occasional sales are done face to face or by check, which is becoming increasingly difficult; bank transfers are preferred.
I prefer PayPal, but it's not always accepted.
I have been operating this way for several years.
We made the transfer on Friday, November 27, 2020, to the bank details from Leboncoin that we received via secure payment message from Leboncoin. The seller had accepted our offer for the purchase of a car. Our bank has completed the transfer. But since yesterday, everything has changed; the seller has removed the listing and I have no record of my transfer (large amount) in my transactions section. Last night, after hours of searching, I realized that the BIC code I was sent does not correspond to that of Leboncoin. It seems, though I'm not certain, that during the transaction we may have ended up on a mirror site of Leboncoin... And that our transfer will never reach our account on Leboncoin as we thought! It's impossible to contact the seller since Friday night. I've written to Leboncoin but received no response. We informed our bank, filed a preliminary complaint online, and tomorrow we have an appointment at the gendarmerie. We are in shock and completely lost; the bank that received the transfer is my French Bank and I don't believe it's the Leboncoin bank. If anyone can help us, we would appreciate it as we are lost regarding our next steps.
I had the same thing happen to me.
Fortunately for me, I saw it coming.
In fact, the guy asks you for your email to send you an IBAN, you send the money but you will never see it again.
You should never leave the messaging platform of Le Bon Coin and pay Le Bon Coin via their site and never to any account, whatever it may be.
Good luck for the rest.
I have made dozens of sales using the integrated payment/delivery system and I have never had any problems.
Once the payment is sent, the seller must indicate whether the product is available or not.
If not available: transaction cancelled, the buyer is refunded.
If available: the seller has 3 days to send the package, otherwise the transaction is cancelled.
Once the package is sent, the buyer sees a button that allows them to indicate:
- the package has been received: Funds are released for the seller.
- The package has been received but there is a problem: a dispute is created.
If the buyer does nothing after 14 days and reports no issues, the package is considered delivered and the funds are released. Many buyers do not validate the receipt on Le Bon Coin, but the seller must still be paid, that is normal.
There is no "scam" as I have read here several times, it is a system that secures both the seller and the buyer. Many people still contact me to send cash by mail (prohibited) or checks, I systematically refuse such sales.
I have the same problem, I sent a package worth €50 with secure payment. The customer received the package but the payment is blocked by the buyer on the grounds that the item sold is non-compliant (he tells me it doesn't work while I did several tests before packing it). I think this system is unreliable because it's too easy to bypass. The buyer takes advantage of this loophole to get an item for €0. It's difficult for the seller to engage in legal proceedings when the amount is almost negligible. They give up and that's exactly what unscrupulous buyers think. I have sent several messages to LBC to explain myself but I wonder if they receive them, read them, etc... Then I just received an email from LBC telling me to cancel the transaction. So, I have lost €50. Therefore, now, no more secure payments from LBC. When a buyer offers you this action, immediately stop the sale and move on to another buyer.
Why isn't it working? Plenty of sites work like that: Rakuten, Aliexpress... If the buyer doesn't receive their package, they can dispute it within 14 days, and in that case, it's easier to get a refund since it's LBC that has the money and not the seller ;)
After several emails, I am asked for a copy of my ID, then my name, address, date of birth (but they have all that on my account).
Then silence for xx days, I get frustrated and file a complaint with the fraud prevention agency (DGCCRF). I send Le Bon Coin the acknowledgment of receipt of this complaint, and that’s when things start to move. They request ID again, then proof of address, etc. We keep going in circles.
Miraculously, yesterday I was told my ID had been validated (2 months later) and today my payment is on its way and appears in my bank account.
NEVER AGAIN secure payment, nothing compares to RAKUTEN, formerly Price Minister, where everything works perfectly.
I will never sell on Le Bon Coin again except for in-person exchange.
WARNING, some have never been paid since November, not even through PayPal.
Good luck and fight back!
I have contacted customer service several times, with no response, and there is no way to file a dispute or anything. A real scam.
I'm trying again for the 20th time and the service does not validate my ID!!! Yet it's scanned!!!
In summary, they don’t want to pay me!!! They are keeping our money. With all the transactions, they must be loaded!!!
I had the same problem. LBC took 15 days to refund my money because my ID card was not recognized, even though it was scanned in high resolution. I sent numerous messages and each time, I received the same response. I even sent my passport, same result. I finally photographed my ID card with my iPhone and it worked instantly.
To contact them, there's no phone number available.
On the LBC website, go to "HELP" then "Secure Payment Service," then "How the Secure Payment Service works," and scroll all the way down the page, on the right, "Send a request" (in blue).
I was able to have exchanges with a person (Caroline) and not a computer. But still, the responses are not super personal, let's not kid ourselves!
I hope my message will help people who are pulling their hair out as I did.
Good luck.
Coindombre.
Indeed, I used this service and I regret it!
In fact, the seller has gone silent, and when I followed up, I learned that he couldn't find the item in question (of course, he didn't check before closing the transaction).
Fortunately, I was able to report a problem after 10 days (not possible before).
Despite our numerous very explicit exchanges on the secure messaging system, the Leboncoin customer service is asking me to prove that the seller wants to cancel the transaction! It’s a crazy situation!!!
Anyway, nearly a month later, there’s still no sign of a refund despite my follow-ups with both the seller and the Leboncoin site, both of whom have gone silent.
As a result, I will probably have to report the issue to the fraud department and to the consumer association I am a member of...
In conclusion, I advise you to avoid using this service as I believe it somehow opens the door to new types of scams...
I'm exactly in the same situation!!
I'm a seller, the item has arrived and has been confirmed by the buyer. I received a confirmation message on my Le Bon Coin account. But it's impossible to provide the IBAN. And when we send emails to explain that we can't provide the IBAN, they tell us to provide the IBAN!!! And no response to the following emails!!
I don't know if this can help, but here is the response from LBC services to my question regarding a modification of IBAN.

Your customer service leboncoin
I'm a seller, I sent the package, the buyer received it and tells me he confirmed it, but when I check our messages, it says the transaction is canceled. I can't understand. I sent an email to Le Bon Coin, they asked for my ID... I sent it, and they told me I would receive the payment within 3 days, but still nothing.
Although the tracking of the package shows that it has not been sent (the link was provided with my claim to "Le Bon Coin" as soon as I received the "LBC" payment confirmation for a completed transaction)
LBC has decided to pay the seller.
For me, Le Bon Coin is finished.
I will file a complaint for theft and fraud.
Just for your information...
I’m in the same situation as you.
I bought something online via Leboncoin and the seller never sent the package and doesn't respond to messages.
I’ve sent about twenty messages to Leboncoin and they don’t respond.
Leboncoin does not refund.
It’s been a month now.
It's outrageous, now Leboncoin are the scammers..
Definitely do not make payment via Leboncoin, it’s a huge scam and you will never see your money again.
I am going to file a complaint against Leboncoin.
As for me, I need to return the faulty equipment to my seller who agrees. But I don't know how to report it to Le Bon Coin to get refunded for the transfer I made to them without being scammed by the seller and Le Bon Coin.
I'm afraid of the worst after reading your messages.
Thank you for any help you can provide.
Have a nice evening.
No, you shouldn't do that.
On Le Bon Coin, it has really become a risky situation now. If you want to buy, it's better to go to the person's place and pick up the item.
The system you're describing is a scam that they run to get people to pay, and those same people see neither their packages nor get their money back.

Life is not a river but just a crossing.*
I think they did better with me.
I was ordered to transfer a certain amount to the seller as a sign of handing over an allegedly broken item!! Done, if I remember correctly, the last message from the site I set aside "you did not go to pick up the package that the buyer returned, therefore we are refunding it." I say it again and again, I moved, so it's not possible to pick up a package 500 km away, then I'm told that I went to pick up the package, yes yes, I flew there.
So in my case, not only do I no longer have my device, I paid the shipping fees to send the thing, I also gave 20% as a discount ordered by the site via bank transfer. All in all, I paid the buyer to keep my belongings? In the end, do the same, steal the sellers; the site condones thefts between sellers and individuals.
I just sold my PC on LBC using the secure transaction service and it went very well. The wait to receive the money once the buyer confirms receipt of the product is 6 days, and I am currently on day 3 of waiting.
In any case, the transaction goes very quickly, from the buyer paying the shipping costs, sending the package, delivery, and confirming the transaction, 5 days have passed.
I recommend this service, but we are not immune to ill-intentioned people or errors, delivery issues as mentioned above.
Leboncoin could optimize this service much more to reassure both the seller and the buyer.
MKF
Be careful, Leboncoin collects the money from sales via the "secure payment system" and DOES NOT RETURN ANYTHING to the seller!! They owe me over 500€ for the past 2 months. Non-existent customer service that is unresponsive and doesn't reply to any messages!!! I filed a complaint with the Fraud Prevention Department (DDPP) + Police, even with a registered letter they continue to ignore me! Case No. 24304670 that they let rot, in the meantime I hope they are making good use of my money in their bank account.
