Counter Strike launch issue

Hi everyone

Here is my problem:

I can no longer play Counter Strike. When I launch the game, the Counter startup screen appears and 10 seconds later the game crashes and I return to Windows.
So I uninstalled the game and reinstalled it, but it keeps happening
I uninstalled Steam and reinstalled it, but it keeps happening in vain
I tried to troubleshoot the problem from all angles, and I ended up formatting the PC
But the problem is that it recurs. So I concluded that it could be due to the Steam update, but I have no solution.

So here I am stuck and I am asking you, please, to help me

Yay!!!!!!!! I’m so happy xd, I found the plugin that prevented Counter from opening, its name was: FAVOURITE/

THE SOLUTION TO FIX COUNTER-STRIKE 1.6 THAT FREEZES AT 3 BARS DURING SERVER LOADING:

So actually, if you have this problem, it's because you installed a program or plugin for MSN (or maybe something else), to find out which one:
1/ try to remember which one you installed since Counter stopped working,
2/ go to the uninstall programs section and check the installation date of the most recent programs,
3/ delete ALL programs that do not have the Publisher listed and that you don’t know EXACTLY what they are!

Uninstall these programs, start Counter, and enjoy!!!
These manipulations are NOT AT ALL complicated, and do not require uninstalling CS, reformatting your PC, or any other unnecessary manipulation.
I estimate with 85% certainty (tighten the precision lol) that if the server launch freezes at 3 bars, my solution will work.
GOOD LUCK ALL, and thank me if it works, and let me know if it doesn’t please.

Hey guys, I bought Counter Strike Anthology and I can't play it, there's an error that occurs when I launch Steam (when I manage to access Steam, it tells me that I need to buy the game even though it's already installed! Or I can't launch Steam, and my account loading suddenly stops and disappears!!) and as a result, I can't play Counter, whether it's CZ or the deleted scenes. If someone could help me, that would be really appreciated, thanks everyone!

P.S.: I've tried reinstalling the game and Steam, and it always gives me a different problem!!!..............

Salut, peux-tu m'expliquer ce qu'est un plugin et où les trouver ? Pour CS Source, ça pourrait être la solution, comment puis-je faire, s'il te plaît ?

alr I had the same problem (with Vista but it doesn't matter), when I launched Counter 1.6, during the server loading, it stopped, and the whole computer crashed, I looked on forums, and actually it’s when you install a plugin (improvement) for MSN, it doesn't work anymore! So I uninstalled the plugin that I had just installed, and it worked again!!!
weird but it works...
THE PROBLEM :( is that 5 months later (today), I downloaded several MSN plugins (I forgot that I shouldn't), and I can't uninstall the plugin!!!!! (F*CKING HELL)

On my PC CS works, if it doesn't work on yours, well that's too bad.

Haven't you noticed that in all the posts from people, it's just problems and there aren't even 5 who are here to solve the issue...

So in my opinion, it's dead and try other FPS, there's more than Counter Strike.

Hi friends, so my problem occurred after I reinstalled Steam. When I right-click on it and then click on any option (games, store, etc.), it just keeps opening all the time, which is really annoying. Thanks for your advice+++

your problem is simple, you go into the game (cs) / options / advanced / and in the buy menu (or something like that) you put vgui menu
