Good evening, I have a new Nokia 5.1 smartphone. I connected it to my PC to transfer photos. So no problem, the cable and devices were recognized. I succeeded in the transfer. But the next day I wanted to transfer music and nothing worked, neither the cable nor the Nokia were recognized. I updated all drivers, tried a different cable and USB port, still nothing. I even downloaded the Nokia 5.1 app and even there this app did not recognize my phone. Does anyone have a suggestion besides maybe buying a new PC. Thanks in advance for your help.

Configuration: Windows / Internet Explorer 11.0

Hello Madmyke, it's with a lot of delay that I’m giving you feedback on my cable adventure. I tried several operations mentioned in your message but to no avail. Also, I had an opportunity to buy a new PC which, in effect, solved everything for me. Thank you very much for your approach. Just a quick note to tell you that I now have Windows 10 instead of the version 7 and now I can tell you that a new trouble is opening up to me. I was told that I could download the old version so I will see. Thanks for everything and good evening.

"I was told I could download the old version so I'll see."

If you're thinking of going back to Windows 7, forget it right away. Very bad idea.

(In life yes I am a professional. ;) That does not at all mean that I am right or that I do not make mistakes, just that I have a different experience)

Have a good day.
