Cannot add extensions to Edge

Hello everyone.

I know the topic has already been posted here and there, but I haven’t found solutions in what I’ve read so far.

Among the solutions that do not fit my problem, there is, for example, that Windows 10 is installed by default on my PC, so it’s not an issue of overwriting a previous version, and I can download something other than extensions, so it’s not related to downloading in the strict sense. Or it was too technical and I didn’t understand it, or or obsolete and already fixed by a Windows update.

Since Edge is integrated with Windows I’ve already tried unlocking Windows Update and rebooting my PC (I mostly use StopeUpdate10 but I let it perform the updates once a month), so that’s not it.

The thing is simply that when I’m on the page of an application, whatever it is, on Microsoft’s site, I click download and nothing, absolutely nothing, happens, except the “Download” button which is displayed somewhat differently, like “already clicked.”

I also found how to install an extension manually, but I can’t find uBlock Origin for Edge other than on Microsoft’s site.

There you go… I just wanted to see if Edge was really faster than the other browsers on Windows 10, it doesn’t start well. I’d rather endure crazy slowdowns but keep avoiding ads.

Thanks for your help.

Hello,
Press simultaneously the Windows and R keys, a window will appear, copy this winver, then click OK, tell me the Windows 10 version that is indicated there.

Your Windows 10 version is old; update Windows 10 to the latest version with this Microsoft tool,注意 this update may take some time. If you’re using a laptop, don’t forget to keep it plugged in. Also check that your drivers are up to date, see this page.

It took me a long time, but even after painstakingly updating Windows and all the drivers, nothing changed. It’s something else.
