Identification of the seller
The Consumer Code requires professionals to identify themselves, that is to say,
to indicate clearly and unambiguously, mainly, the following elements:
- for an individual seller, their first and last names, or for a
company, its company name or business name, its legal form,
- the contact phone numbers that allow effective contact
with the seller, the address where the seller's business is established, or, if it is a legal entity,
the address of its registered office and, if different,
the address of the establishment responsible for the sales offer; Email address,
- the registration number with the Trade and Companies Register and/or the
Directory of Trades…,
- the name and address of the authority that granted permission to operate, if
the seller's activity is subject to prior authorization,
- the individual identification number for VAT (intra-community) if the
professional seller is subject to VAT in France,
- if the seller belongs to a regulated profession: reference to the
professional rules in force, the professional title, the EU State where the title was issued, the name of the professional registration body, the means to electronically consult the professional and commercial rules that the seller intends to comply with.
