Watch Fransat recordings on PC
I have two Fransat receivers that I’m very satisfied with, but when I record a program (to an external USB hard drive) it is only visible on the receiver, whereas I would like to view them on my laptop while traveling (for example on a train).
I plan to acquire a VU+ Zero 4K and use one of my Fransat official cards in this receiver.
With this kind of “open source” hardware, will it be possible to record programs to an external drive and view them on my PC with, for example, VLC? (What codec will be required)
If so, how?
Thank you for your answers.

Hello,
" it is only visible on the receiver "
Indeed, very often PVRs record in a "proprietary" format and only the device that made the recording can read it...unless you are very, very, very savvy in computing

And again sorry but no, it is imperative to use a decoder labeled "Fransat"
