Hello,
I'm trying to connect to my wifi network (it's a powerline adapter) on Mac OS El Capitan,
but every time I try, it tells me the wifi network requires a WPA2 password.
I don't understand because when I try to connect to this wifi on my other devices, it works perfectly even though I'm using the same password.
Could you help me?
Thank you

Hello,
What is the brand and model of this powerline adapter?
For your information:
WPA (or WiFi Protected Access) is a wireless network security protocol.
In the early 90s, there was WEP, then WPA was released and it evolved into version 2 in 2004 to become WPA2. WPA2 introduced AES (Advanced Encryption Standard) for encryption.
WPA2 was then approved by the United States government for encoding top-secret classified information.
That is why Apple, an American company by origin, favored/mandated the use of WPA2. Here’s what Apple has to say about it, and the workarounds provided for WPA2-incompatible devices: https://support.apple.com/fr-fr/HT202068
