How to transfer recordings from the TV to a computer?

Hello,
I will have to change my decoder and I will thus lose all my recordings. I wanted to know if there is a way to transfer them to my computer.

    Unfortunately, recordings made by a decoder are often in a proprietary format and can only be played by the device that recorded them; which decoder is it?
