Edit a CV in PDF format directly

Hello everyone,

I know this question has been asked a thousand times. Instead of starting a new thread, I would have preferred to reply to an existing one, but the ones I found were closed or resolved.

However, my problem is still very much in play. I need to edit a CV in PDF format. I initially converted the format to Word by uploading the file directly to a site that performs online conversion, but the result is terrible. The original word processing has been completely messed up.

I also tried to edit the PDF file directly using free software, all very disappointing, as they only allow for scribbles, signatures, and checking boxes...

I've also looked into downloading the free trial version of more robust paid programs, such as Acrobat Pro. However, the manufacturer still asks for my credit card number, which I'm a bit reluctant to provide. Apparently, you have the right to cancel within 7 days before being charged.

I'm almost tempted to go for it because my patience is wearing thin, and I really need to modify my CV.
Is this software worth it? Unless someone has a simple alternative solution to suggest?

I look forward to your insights.

Good evening,

I used this service:
https://www.ilovepdf.com/fr
For my document, the result was good.

I am still surprised that you do not have the original text of the CV. It is the least you could do to keep it, as a CV is likely to be modified very often.

Sincerely

Thank you, but does this program allow for direct modification of a PDF's content? I tried using the convert to Word function, but it redirects me to the page of a program (Foxy or something like that) that I have already attempted to install unsuccessfully on my Smartphone (after filling in the personal information fields, moreover).

I should have the original document on my laptop, but I can't seem to locate it. Right now, I'm mainly working on my Smartphone.

The site ilovepdf.com does not allow you to directly modify the content of a PDF: it does not do the job of Acrobat Pro.
It allows you to obtain a Word file that is immediately sent for download.

You just need to modify the Word file and convert it back to PDF.

Apparently, the behavior of the site is not the same on PC and smartphone. It is not necessary to register on PC and there is no program to install.
