Hello,
I have a little issue with Outlook (one more!!)

I want to change the default sending address for my emails in Outlook. I selected this one (gmail.com) in the Outlook preferences and set it as default. It’s a lost cause, the old address (free.fr) continues to show up by default every time I send an email. I have to select the gmail address and in case I forget, the email gets sent from free (which is annoying since the free account has been blocked for a month).
Does anyone know how to fix this?? If someone responds, that would be great!!

Good evening

Is it about Outlook from the Office Pack..? Which version..?

TOOL==> Account Settings==> All your email accounts will appear.. Select your Gmail account ==> and above, click on the small black circle "Set as Default"

After that, your Gmail account is set as default and the Free account is no longer..

You may need to close and reopen Outlook for it to become operational.

On my Outlook, it doesn't exactly present in the same way, but it's essentially the same. Tools - Accounts - I select the Gmail account - gear icon at the bottom of the screen - I select "Default."
But when I go back to Outlook, it still prefers free.fr.
I don't know what else to do.
Any idea??

  Ah, it's on Mac...! But I think you need to close Outlook after making the changes... and then reopen it for them to take effect...
  Have you been to the Google Gmail site to check your account settings in Outlook...?
  Otherwise, you can delete the Free account and Gmail will be set as the default automatically unless you have others..?

  I have done all this many times already. And as for reporting the Outlook settings in my Gmail account, it's all Greek to me (a language I don't master well....) As for deleting Free; I'll lose the emails that are on my computer. Since the account is blocked online, I no longer have access to it. This means a total loss of the entire email history. Unless I save them on my Mac. But there are an astronomical amount of them.

  I understand your dismay. But you need to answer the questions asked first...
  
  -- The first question was whether you are reading your emails properly with the "Outlook" software from the Office Pack... if we don’t speak the same language, it’s normal that we don’t understand each other... The MAC has its own habits..!
  Are you sure you are reading your emails with the Outlook software and not on the Outlook WebMail site..?

  Because if I’m guessing correctly, the Outlook version on MAC is not the same as on Windows... but the principle I described above remains the same... you need to declare this Gmail account as the default account...

  Yes, I read my emails with OUTLOOK on my Mac, not on the webmail.
  I continue my research. I am feeling my way. I can't find a solution.

Well, after some trial and error, I found it. I just had to uncheck a box in the Free account. The outgoing server bypasses the default port.

One less issue.

When's the next one?
