Hello,
I often download/upload files that can take hours to complete. However, when I click on "suspend activity" or close the laptop screen, it seems that it stops the downloads.
I have therefore set the option "never put the computer to sleep while charging" and I leave it plugged in with the brightness at minimum until the download is complete. As a result, anyone can access my data by turning up the brightness.
Is there a way to lock the computer without stopping the downloads?
Thank you in advance,
MrEncyclope

Hello,
In the Power Saver menu, you can choose to put the screen to sleep independently of the computer's sleep mode.
On my iMac, when I leave my desk and don't want to suspend activity, I use the shortcut Ctrl + Shift + Eject to turn off and lock the screen.
