Hello,
My laptop no longer starts, whether using the battery or directly with the power supply.
I don't have that indicator light when I plug it in.
Fnac tested it with another power supply and it doesn't work either.
I wonder if it could be the battery? I've disassembled part of my laptop and I can't find it.
Thank you for your help.

Hello.
>>> I don't have that indicator light when I plug it in. <<<
When you plug in the charger/power supply, a control light normally comes on when you press the main switch.
If no indicator light turns on, I'm afraid I have to confirm the answer that gino13000 provided in your previous post.
Changing the battery (CR 2032 in general but it may be something else) sometimes requires the complete disassembly of the laptop casing. It's a meticulous job. Disconnecting and reconnecting the keyboard cable or another cable (sometimes very small) requires dexterity to avoid breaking the retaining clip. But it's doable.
Have you tried a "reset"? I don't have much faith in it, but give it a shot anyway: Disconnect all USB peripherals from the PC. Remove the battery and unplug the charger. Then press and hold the power button for about 30 seconds without releasing it... Plug the power supply back in and try to start the PC again.
Another check: Connect an external screen with a VGA cable.

Hello,
This laptop probably has a well-known issue: the broken power jack.

The BIOS battery has nothing to do with this kind of problem.
