Hello,
I recently bought a USB endoscope of this type

It comes with a CD that includes the driver (teslong camera). When I launch the program, it opens normally and shows a loading bar with the message above: connecting to the device, please wait...
The problem is that it never connects; the bar keeps "searching," and nothing happens, as if it can't find it.

I should mention that I made sure to plug the USB camera into a port on the back of my tower.

My computer runs Windows 7 Home Premium.

Yes, I tried this option but nothing works. Moreover, in the device management, the endoscope is recognized, and the driver is updated properly.

Yes, the computer sees the device well in the device manager.
I just tested the endoscope on the Webcam Test site and it works perfectly, but only there. However, not at all with the driver. I tried 2 other drivers and I'm having the same issue.

I have the feeling that this is going to remain mysterious for a long time ^^
All my friends who know a bit about computers that I've talked to don't understand anything :P
I'm going to make a summary for the newcomers:

- The endoscope is recognized as working well in the peripherals.
- The driver (teslong camera) is also recognized and considered updated.
- All USB ports are recognized.
- The endoscope works perfectly on the Webcam Test site.
- I tested all the USB ports on the PC and all possible restarts.
- I tested with other drivers such as ContaCam or FreeVimager and the problem remains exactly the same: the driver launches normally but cannot find the endoscope and keeps looping while searching.
- And I'm using Windows 7.

So the driver launches perfectly and it tells me: Unable to start the video. Try closing other programs that might be using your webcam.

So I went to the task manager after closing everything else and there's only ManyCam listed.

Next, I went to the device manager and under "Imaging devices" there are "ManyCam Virtual Webcam" and "USB Video Device". So I disabled (not uninstalled) the "USB Video Device". I relaunched ManyCam and it still shows the same message: Unable to start the video...

Yes, that's it. I launched VLC, then went to "Media," then "Open capture device," selected "USB video device," and it works :)
