Pie chart of sectors Solved

Question

Hello community, I've been getting exasperated for 2 days, reading forums, watching tutorials... but I can't find the solution to my problem. I'm reaching out for help! So, I want to create a pie chart, quite basic, I only have 4 pieces of data that I would like to graph: the 1st 2 data points in the 1st graph and a zoom on 1 data point => 2nd graph with the other 2 data points. When I insert the chart, Excel invents a new data point! (I end up with 3 data points in graph 1 / 2 data points in graph 2).   I don't know what to do anymore. Maybe I'm arranging my data incorrectly? Thank you in advance for your help!

Hello,  By default, it takes the last two values from the table for the second graph. To change this, you need to right-click on one of the sectors, click on the option "Format Data Series" in the window, click on the "Series Options" tab, and choose the number 3 instead of 2 in "the second plot contains 2 values".

No, young lady! You're mistaken: Your data is very well arranged.   On the left side, there are only the first two data points (blue and green) and the total of the other two (red), which is broken down on the right side (dark red and purple).  If you had thought to add the data labels, you would have immediately seen that the red sector is 662,739 hl, which is indeed the sum of 498,554 and 164,185 hl... -- It's nice, retirement! Hello, I want to thank you for your responses! By mixing both of your answers, I found my problem! In fact, I needed to create this red color category on the chart and remove it from the green category, my data is nested... A huge thank you to both of you for taking the time to respond to me.

Hello, I would like to ask for your help again. I ultimately didn't solve my problem and I'm stuck once more. I still need to create a pie chart of sectors... - I noted that you can choose the number of categories in the second chart - the problem is that Excel adds an additional category in the first chart  I would like to create: - First chart: pie chart divided into red / white / rosé categories (category A / B / C) - Second chart: different categories of rosés (category Ca / Cb / Cc ....)  Initially, I created a chart with the numbers: it doesn't work To clarify that the values of the second chart belong to the "rosé" category (and not to a new category that creates itself), I entered in my formulas Ca: 30% of C  It still doesn't work! So, there's no point in creating a sector pie chart...  Thank you in advance for your help!   PS: Is there any way to upload the Excel file?

Hello.  You still haven't understood how this type of chart works and how to read it... In your table, you just need to remove the ROSÉS line!
