Hello everyone

I just bought a second PS4 controller so my son can play with a cousin who is temporarily visiting us. He doesn’t have a PS4 at home and doesn’t have an account.
Is it possible to connect this second controller without creating a new PSN account and play online together?
And if so, how do we do it?

Hello,

Yes.
After connecting the controller to the console with the cable for it to be recognized, press the PS button.

Select "new user".

Then "Play as guest".
This will create a temporary account that will be deleted when the console is disconnected.

Hello,

it depends on the games; some allow playing online with 2 players on the same console, on the same screen and the same user account, while others do not support online multiplayer.
