Hello,
I have a lot of VHS tapes that I want to preserve, but if my VCR breaks down, I would like to burn them to DVD.
I would like to buy a combo unit, a VHS player and a DVD recorder; I had one but I never knew how to use it.
All my attempts were failures. There were, I believe, DVD + and DVD -. I tried both and nothing worked at all.

I see combo units online, but I don't know who to trust. Cdiscount (Rakuten), maybe?

I especially want to preserve films by Marcel Pagnol, which are hard to find for sale on DVD.
And above all, will I be able to burn? Given my skills, it's not looking good?
Thank you for advising me, please, a reliable seller and your advice for doing what I want.
Have a good day.
Regards.

Hello,

All my VHS tapes were copied onto my DVD recorder WITH a hard drive to then burn them onto DVD - it doesn't matter if +R, -R, +RW, -RW. - just get the cheapest ones.

You might find a second-hand recorder with a hard drive or find a friend who has a friend who has what you need and lend it to you...

Good luck!
