Is Google Chrome infected by Wap.coriolis.com? Solved

Hello, and thank you to whoever helps me,  since the last Android update I did this morning, my Chrome browser automatically opens a web page at the address wap.coriolis.com, which is very annoying. I backed up my photos and contacts and reset the phone (Galaxy S8) but nothing works. I still kept the same Google and Samsung accounts, but I doubt that they could be infected...

Hello, for me it worked, so I will tell you how I did it. When you launch your browser and a page named wap.coriolis appears, you need to click on the 3 little dots at the top, go to settings, then homepage, it will show you the default page: wap.coriolis, you need to click on Other and I typed google.com. My problem is solved, I am on a Samsung Galaxy S7. Have a good evening.

I just did the test and it also happens on other browsers, so it might be the Samsung account or something that is not automatically reset?

Hello, I have the same problem as you. It all started yesterday when I was on my phone and I saw a message at the bottom for about 5 seconds saying "SIM card update in progress." I wasn't worried thinking it was a network update from SFR because I’m on a red by SFR plan. However, since that message, I’ve noticed that the homepage of my Google Chrome browser as well as that of my Samsung browser has changed, and like you, I'm on the homepage wap.coriolis.com. Seeing this, I thought I might have gotten infected by a virus, an adware virus. As a small clarification, the page where the browser is redirected does not open. I completely restored my phone, added my Google account and my Samsung account, and I still had the same problem. Even without adding any apps other than the original ones. I restored my phone again but without adding a Google account or a Samsung account, and I still had the same problem. I then restored my phone again but removed the SIM card, and there I no longer had the problem. Through elimination, I can confidently say that the issue does not come from the phone, nor from Google Chrome or any other browser; the problem comes from my red by SFR SIM card, which might have been hacked, I don’t know how. I'm still looking for how this could have happened, but just to be safe, I will contact customer service and order a new SIM card to proceed with the change because I’ve clearly established that the issue comes from my SIM card. And what about your problem? Can you give me a bit more information, a few more details? Are you also with SFR like me?

In case of, or for others. The SIM card update adds other APNs in the settings, Coriolis, La Poste, NRJ... You need to delete them one by one and keep only SFR.

Hello, I've had the same problem for a few days. I managed to remove Coriolis from my Chrome homepage, but I can't delete the added APNs (Nrj, Coriolis...) other than Red SFr. What are the risks, concretely? Has anyone found a solution to get rid of them?
