Hello,
In PPT 365, can we set it so that text automatically adjusts to the size of the text box by default?
I’m talking about text boxes added manually, not the placeholders.
Thank you
Configuration: Windows / Edge 16.16299

Hello,
Right-click on your text box => Shape Format
Click on Text Options, then on the third icon: Text Box
You have three options:
- Do not auto-fit: the format of the text box will not change, and the text will overflow if it is too long.
- Shrink text on overflow: when the text is too long for the shape, the font size will automatically decrease.
- Autofit shape to text: as you type, the text box will expand.
Note that for a text box, the third option is the default. However, for a shape (rectangle or other), the first option is the default. This allows you to draw the shape to the desired format, type inside it without changing the format, and only use the second option if the text is too long.
