Hello,
I recently acquired a Hitachi turntable model HT-41S.
Being a novice in the field of vintage musical electronics, I feel a bit silly in front of this machine that's too old for me (even though I love it when it works :D )
Anyway, I have 3 output cables, two jacks, one white and one black, and a thinner green one with a forked metal tip.
I don't know where to connect all this, or what type of speaker to use. I assume that recent speakers like JBL, Beats, Bose, etc. are not compatible.
Do you have any models to suggest that are not too expensive?
Thanks guys
Configuration: Windows / Chrome 67.0.3396.99

Hello,
You need an amplifier with a phono input that includes a phono preamp, or a phono preamp to place between the turntable and the amplifier.
The green wire connects to the ground or chassis of the amplifier or phono preamp to which you are connecting.
The symbol is of the type https://cdn0.iconfinder.com/data/icons/electronic-components-line/50/ground-512.png
White and black is not common for example, normally we have white and red or black and red.
Find out which one is L (Left) and which one is R (Right).

That's the mass, or the ground.
