A universal remote for a powered-off TV?

Question

My TV is off and I lost the remote control. Out of habit, I bought a universal remote but since my TV doesn't have a power button, I can't turn it on. How can I configure my universal remote with a TV that is off?

Hello  sometimes unplugging the TV can make it turn back on when you plug it in again  not always, on some models it just puts it in standby   what is your TV brand/model?

Hello,

Read the instructions for your remote control.

Sometimes there is a function that you activate to search.

Then you press the Power button until it turns on.

Then you lock it on that setting with another button.

Otherwise, are you sure there isn’t a switch on one of the two sides of the television?
