My Desktop PC no longer detects my SFR Box. Solved

Question

Hello, I’m contacting you because I have a problem with my PC. Since yesterday evening, my PC can no longer connect to the Internet via an RJ45 cable. It's not the cable because I tested it on a laptop and it works. And it's not the box, because the Wi-Fi works and when I connected the cable to the laptop, it worked. I tried connecting to the Internet via my mobile phone, but that doesn’t work either. I've tried several things but without any results. The Windows diagnostic is telling me it cannot find an IP address. Even when changing the network to assign an IP "192.168.1.2", the problem persists. Hoping you can help me.

re  ok, do this:  turn off the PC normally  unplug the box electrically for 20 seconds  plug the box back in and restart the PC  let me know how it goes  @+  -- the radiation level is higher at the employment office than at Chernobyl

Hello   do this on your desktop computer   close all your running programs   start the command prompt as administrator (right-click)   in the window, type these commands one by one and hit ENTER after each command   ipconfig /flushdns  netsh winsock reset  netsh winhttp reset proxy  netsh winhttp reset tracing  netsh winsock reset catalog  netsh int ip reset all  netsh int ipv4 reset catalog  netsh int ipv6 reset catalog   when you're done, reboot the PC and let me know what happens   see you   --  the radiation level is higher at the unemployment office than at Chernobyl

Hello,  Go to the Control Panel, click on "Network and Internet" then "Network and Sharing Center," then click on the small "Ethernet" in blue, to the right of "Connections:".  Next, go to Properties, click on "Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4)" and then on "Properties," and check that the option "Obtain an IP address automatically" and "Obtain DNS server addresses automatically" are both selected, then do the same for "Internet Protocol Version 6 (TCP/IPv6)."  If that does not solve your problem, try updating your network adapter driver.

I just remembered that yesterday afternoon, I uninstalled my free AVG Antivirus to install a new one, Bitdefender, for which I had gotten a promotional code. However, after I uninstalled AVG and turned off the computer, when I wanted to install Bitdefender that same evening, just a few hours after uninstalling AVG, that's when the problem occurred.

However, after I uninstalled AVG, I turned off the computer, and when I wanted to install Bitdefender that same evening, just a few hours after uninstalling AVG, that's when the problem occurred.  1) Search for both AVs on your PC and uninstall everything "cleanly"  2) Perform a system restore to a date before the operation  /!\ IPv4 autoconfiguration address . . . : 169.254.156.161 (preferred)  You have a temporary IP address  Let me know what that gives  @+

re  I won't hide it from you, but I'm starting to lose a bit of hope :/   You shouldn't :)  It only showed errors: "Error: Unable to interpret ... So the issue is finally resolved, I sent it to a technician. Apparently, I had a problem with my PC that was changing the IP address. He reset it and now it works again.
