I bought a second-hand Samsung S5610 online, locked to the SFR network, so I have no other information; my operator is Bouygues; currently, it shows a network, recognizes the Bouygues network, but outgoing and incoming calls are rejected; it asks me for my PIN code, but then it no longer requests a code because I entered one that unlocked the phone itself but not the Bouygues network; therefore, I would like to unlock the Bouygues network; Please help me thank you in advance.

Mobile user manual: https://www.sfr.fr/assistance/téléphone-mobile/mode-emploi/samsung/13768-s5610
If the phone displays "Insert Correct SIM Card", you need to turn on your device without a SIM card and enter the code #0111*CODE#
Another method for Samsung in case of phone FREEZE:
- Start with SIM then enter the SIM card PIN
- Emergency Call only: Press the CALL button and enter the CODE (UNFREEZE) directly (WITHOUT #0111*....#)
- The phone will then ask you for the network code, enter the NCK code that was provided to you
- There is no limit on attempts to enter the FREEZE code. Don't hesitate to persist and retry to correctly enter the FREEZE code to then get the display prompting for the NCK code
Otherwise, you will need to request the unlocking code from an advisor via chat
Another method:
Turn on the mobile without SIM card
Type pound star 7337 pound
Turn off the mobile, reinsert the SIM, turn it back on -
Hello
I do not understand the question
1) The phone was locked to SFR: you entered an unlock code, which seems to have worked (this remains to be verified)
If yes, you can now insert a SIM card from any operator
If not, you need a valid unlocking code.
2) You have a Bouygues SIM card
Therefore, you need to enter the original PIN code of this SIM card, then change the code if you wish
However, if you made errors with the codes, the SIM is locked and in this case you need to enter the PUK code, which you will find in the Bouygues correspondence when this SIM was sent or on the plastic support surrounding this SIM, or in your Bouygues customer area
But you must be sure that the type of SIM you have is compatible with your mobile which is from around 2011, does not support 4G, does not support Wi-Fi, etc....
Finally, you need to configure SMS, MMS, on your phone:
Automatically:
I check the user manual of my mobile and follow the instructions:
http://www.mode-d-emploi.bouyguestelecom.fr/#/
Manually:
I press the [Menu] button, then [Settings]. I select [Wireless and networks] then [Mobile networks] and [Access Point Names]
Entering information
I press the [Menu] button and select [New APN]. If an access point already exists, I select it.
I enter the following information:
Name: Bouygues Telecom
APN: mmsbouygtel.com
Proxy: Ignore
Port: Ignore
Username: not defined
Password: not defined
Server: Ignore
MMSC: http://mms.bouyguestelecom.fr/mms/wapenc
MMS Proxy: 62.201.129.226
MMS Port: 8080
MCC: 208
MNC: 20
Authentication type: None
APN type: There are several types of APN depending on the phone model:
If a list of choices is offered, select [Internet + MMS]
If you have to enter text manually, type (without brackets): [ internet+mms ] or [ internet ] or [ mms ] or [ default+mms ] or [ -default,mms ] or [ * ]
3Service registration
I press the [Menu] button and select [Save].
The profile is saved and activated.
4Service activation
In [Wireless and networks] I ensure that the "Mobile network" menu is checked or that in [Mobile networks] the "allow data connection" menu (and not data roaming) is checked.
I turn off and turn on my Android Smartphone to immediately enjoy MMS and Internet services. -
I already had a Samsung S5610 that I bought several years ago (maybe 5 years) whose certain keys no longer work properly; so I bought another one; I inserted my usual Bouygues SIM card into the new phone, then my usual PIN code and then I was asked for a network unlock code; being neither a pro nor a mobile technician, I entered the code: pound * 7337 pound that I found on the internet; I was able to "access" the phone like this; but my outgoing calls were rejected and incoming calls did not go through; now the phone only asks me for the PIN code and no others and I no longer have a place to enter a code; if I have to enter one I have to type it on the home screen from the keyboard; since this new phone doesn't work, I'm still using the old one with the same SIM card;
The manual you are consulting does not concern my phone which does not have all the features you describe to configure SMS, MMS, etc., as I only need to configure the internet connection and not SMS or MMS; -
the phone does not display "Insert Correct Card"
another method for Samsung in case of phone FREEZE: what is a phone FREEZE?
since I bought this second-hand device locked to SFR online, I have no information: no UNFREEZE code, nor NCK
I tried with star pound 7337 pound right at the beginning and I was able to "enter" the phone which was itself unlocked but probably not the Bouygues network, as outgoing calls are rejected and incoming calls do not go through -
re
what a idea to buy a locked device
there are only two solutions left
you contact SFR, in-store or an online advisor to try to find a solution
or you open the phone and place the keyboard or block of the new one in the old one or something like that
personally I have no other idea
or wait:
you go to cash something, easy cash and co... or on priceminister, and you buy an unlocked phone, cheap, you can find them for less than 40 euros, in a different model. -
Yes, you are right, but I have just had this experience that I could never have imagined.
SFR contacted wants the original line number that the seller does not have.
I thought of the second solution, but the keyboard itself works fine; the problem comes from the components of the other plate that supports the SIM card which makes the phone work and needs to be unlocked.
The last solution remains, but by going to a store to try the phone with my SIM card, otherwise I fear I will also have problems; in any case, the seller asked me to return the phone so that he can check it and he will refund me if I cannot use it. -
re
get a refund, I think you came across a decent seller, you’re lucky! -
Yes, I think so too; he offered it to me.
-
if I’m not being intrusive, (you don’t have to answer)
how much did you pay for that mobile?
it's just to see what you might consider buying instead for a similar price range -
no problem: €29.90 + shipping costs of €3.80; before I had seen one on Amazon, very good, except that we could only write SMS in English or in Nordic languages! I returned it; it was a bit more expensive; I'm willing to spend a bit more than €30, but since mine is already about 5 years old and its only flaw, after going through the washing machine, is that the '9' key doesn't work (when you press it, no number or letter is typed), I don't want to buy a new one (I know the price of a new one) and since I know this model well, I would like the same one or a similar one with the same functionalities, unless I find someone who can give me the solution to repair this key.....

re
or at worst, why not try with a SFR SIM? right now, €5 per month for life; limited offer until 06/11
https://www.phonandroid.com/cat/bon-plan/forfait-mobile/red-sfr
of course, this would come in addition to the Bouygues plan you have,
or instead if you're not locked in
but it's doable -
No sorry, I tried SFR and it's not worth going back, and I'm very happy with Bouygues (internet and mobile). I barely pay €20 for internet and €5 for mobile, and above all, communication, whatever it is, with Bouygues is very easy.
-
I know I'm with them too, but for 5 euros more?
Unless you know someone who has an SFR SIM, just at least to test
Again, perhaps at an SFR store with a salesperson!
And then there's also the fact that with an SFR SIM, you will have a new account, and you will access the "official" and complete unlock code for your mobile
Then, you cancel the plan
But I also think the problem might come from the SIM card itself
Probably new, 4G compatible, this SIM is probably "too new" precisely for a 3G mobile
An older technology SIM could solve the problem, but only Bouygues or SFR, the two concerned, can shed light on that
I know this because I tested a "regular" SIM in a current mobile and it didn't work! And the opposite didn't work either! And it's not a SIM cut issue since I have an adapter
