Hello everyone,
Here is my question, I noticed that when I wanted to shut down my PC, I sometimes got the following message, SHUTTING DOWN PROCESS CCC.exe!!
I investigated and noticed that this process was using 1024 K of memory. I stopped the process and searched for this program, it turns out it is in the ATI directory. I should mention that I have an ATI SAPPHIRE RADEON 9550 graphics card. With the Catalyst software. All under XP Home + SP2 regularly updated. Antivirus AVAST also regularly updated.
So, is it a virus or necessary for my graphics card?
Thank you in advance for your enlightening help.
Best regards, Molene

Hello, it's indeed a process of your graphics card, CCC stands for
Catalyst Control Centre
It's less common for it not to stop properly, I've seen the issue under Vista, I hope an update will solve the problem.
For your information, there is also a virus named CCC.exe, but it resides in the system directories of Windows
