Hello,

I just realized that I have messages on my listings, but since Leboncoin no longer notifies me, I have therefore missed out on work opportunities five times and one sale.

Under these conditions, I no longer see the point of this site, especially since it is impossible to respond to people when you don't know who they are, with no information other than a phone number!!!! Welcome to scams!

I just responded to one of my ads for testing.

I'm well notified by email by leboncoin about the arrival of a message.

On one hand, it's good to have this new anonymous exchange system.
It prevents certain scammers from easily obtaining email addresses.

We give our contact details or not.

One or two exchanges, we check not to fall for a scam, and once in trust, we can exchange our own contact details.

No, I haven't received ANYTHING since this new procedure and 6 people had written to me.

I also told them we'll see how they react, but honestly, I'm not expecting much from this site where very few transactions take place considering the number of listings posted. Also, some professional listings have been deleted without me being notified....It’s precisely the fact that I haven’t received any notifications after 2 months that made me concerned, and the new messaging system was not in place.

There seem to be major issues with this site. Fortunately, there is competition!

I’m back: I’ve been on Boncoin for about ten years. I was alerted, always with the same Yahoo email since the beginning, when someone was interested, and I sold quite a few products.

It’s been a while since I’ve been contacted, but maybe it’s because there are a lot of ads.

This week I posted a new ad and I saw a red dot next to “my account.” I didn’t know what it was and I went to check: and there I saw 5 messages regarding my ads.

I was furious because I hadn’t been notified, and that’s why I asked you to do the test; conclusion, I’m not receiving anything, I’m not going to sell!!!

At first, I made a mistake when I mentioned Gmail; I’ve always used Yahoo for LBC.

No no, no spam; I check every day. Since I'm using Thunderbird, I even went to check directly on Yahoo. I only have messages from LBC regarding my ads.

To conclude, this morning I received an email saying "since the launch of the messaging service, we have noticed that accounts with Yahoo and only Yahoo (?) do not receive notifications... NO BUT they must think we're fools!!!

I replied to them:
Well, thank you for confirming what I confirmed in my last email. If I hadn't looked for myself, we would still be at this point!

I would like to add that La Poste is not working either. Receipts are fine. But the shipments never reach the recipients! I even have formal proof of this. I have been using LBC for years without any issues! However, since the implementation of their new messaging system, it no longer works. It's been at least 15 days that I have been struggling with their technical support. But they keep trying to convince me that everything is working normally. I'm so fed up!!!

When I read the latest comments, I realize that I am far from being the only one having issues with LBC since they changed their site and created their new messaging service.

I have been struggling with their technical support for over a month now. Basically, I keep getting the same responses. It's my email address's fault, the messages go to spam, etc., etc. I have provided them several times with undeniable proof of their malfunctions. But no, for them, everything works perfectly. It's the users who are the problem.

So, I'm giving up. I told them I would post my ads elsewhere. It's a shame. I had been using this site for several years without any issues.

Yes, it's still not working, LA POSTE, YAHOO, GMAIL, I confirm.
The problem with LBC is the customer service that couldn't care less. From now on, when they send me a request for feedback, I don't even respond anymore.

Same problem with the ads, I can't believe that for years not a single person has shown interest in brand new products at discounted prices!!!! I’ll leave them up, but I no longer count on them at all and I believe there's competition, I'm going to look into it.

I want to add one thing: since their change, we can no longer "renew" our ads when we click on the link they send. We have to open the site a second time, the ad appears, and when we save it, it disappears; we have to recreate it!!!

I found the trick since they led me on a wild goose chase,
I open my account, click on the sent link, copy the text of my ad and paste the copied text, then I add what’s missing: title, price, etc... In short, I recreate it!

Yes, we don’t pay, so they don't care at all. Fortunately, the competition is there!

Here's another load of nonsense.  In their new messaging system, to go to the next line, you have to press "Shift + Enter". If you just press "Enter", it sends the message. Yet, like everywhere else, there's a button to "Send" or "Submit", just like on this forum.  I've reported this issue at least three times and asked them to please fix it.  Well, here's the message I just received again from this "customer service":  "Hello,  We inform you that this is not a malfunction and confirm that to create a line break, you should press the Shift and Enter keys.  However, we will pass your feedback on to the relevant teams.  Best regards, Your Leboncoin customer service".  Each time, I've asked them to correct this issue. Because, everywhere else—word processors, messaging services, forums, etc.—you press "Enter" to move to the next line, then "Send" to send. This is bothering everyone.  Note: I've also asked them several times to give me the email address of their so-called "relevant teams". But of course, no result.  I'm increasingly feeling that this "customer service" is thoroughly messing with me!  P.S.: I won't even tell you the response I just sent them....

I sent them the link to the TRUST site (the site that evaluates companies). Average rating: 1.5 / 5. No reaction either. So the latest from LBC:

I was an Administrative and Financial Director + HR in the private sector. Unfortunately, since I retired, my income has dropped by 50%, so I created a micro-enterprise through which I offer administrative and accounting assistance to small private companies for a few hours per week.
Nothing special, this function is common in businesses.

But for Le Bon Coin, it violates their rules, so ONCE AGAIN it has been rejected. I searched for a long time to find out why this issue and eventually learned from someone there that it’s because they prioritize Accountants and think I’m competing with them.

It’s a shame I can’t put a big guy here just to mock them!!!

I wrote to the professional support to recover my ad, which they couldn’t find. I also informed them of this refusal and asked them to confirm because in that case I’ll go elsewhere (which I already did). I’m also thinking of removing all my private ads because this site is really useless to me now!!!

In fact, they are preventing us from working!!!!

Hello everyone, I confirm I just tested it and it doesn't work with hotmail.com or hotmail.fr either. I used my account and my wife's to send messages, whether by email, through the app or the site, the replies to the messages do not come back!! Here is my test (I sent it to support...)   I currently have an ad online on my account. I went to leboncoin.fr in guest mode (no account) and sent a message for my ad using my wife's name and email address (***@***) as any buyer would. The message was successfully received in my account, on my app, and in my inbox ***@***. I used the app to reply to the message, my reply never arrived. I used my email inbox to respond, the message didn’t arrive either. I used the site on PC, the message was not delivered either.  PS: - I have of course checked the spam folder.... and still nothing. - I also waited a while and still nothing ....  To be continued!!

Hello, I inform you that for Yahoo mailboxes, the issue is resolved. Messages no longer go to SPAM but are directly delivered to the inbox, and this is without any settings to be made on Yahoo. This is the result of several months of email exchanges with Leboncoin and Yahoo through my intermediary. I thought I was wasting my time, but I realized that perseverance can pay off!

@Mato, I changed my email address on Le Bon Coin. I left Yahoo for Laposte.  However, I still wonder if the messages I send actually reach the recipients. Because, this past week, 3 people contacted me regarding my ads, and I replied to them (I always reply, I am polite). Well, these 3 people did not follow up on my responses. So, either they lack the most basic manners (which annoys me), or the messaging is acting up again.  I have given up trying to reach technical support since they always respond that everything is working fine. I'm tired of wasting my time.  In conclusion, those who lack manners can go take a hike. If they don't respond, it's because what I'm selling doesn't interest them in the end. When something does not interest me, I don’t contact the advertiser. That's all.

Hello @patoma I almost did the same but I wanted to keep my Yahoo messaging with all its history. I also received the standard replies from Leboncoin, but when I was more blunt (while remaining polite) and simply asked them to stop replying with generic phrases because I felt like they were messing with me, miracle of miracles, they responded that they would take care of it! Well, I had to prompt them again, but another miracle, the issue was resolved and I was able to test that it was true. As for people who don't reply, unfortunately, there are rude individuals everywhere and it will be hard to change that despite all the goodwill we can put into it... For my part, the last exchanges I had on Leboncoin messaging worked well and it was just today! Wishing you all the best!
