Thomson soundbar with TV

To connect it to a soundbar... the best solution is therefore to use one of the audio outputs.
This device apparently has a headphone output and a coaxial digital output.
The home theater system has a jack input (3.5mm) and an optical digital input.

Two solutions:
- use a 3.5mm jack cable between the headphone output of the TV and the "line in" input of the soundbar.
- use the digital coaxial output of the TV with a coaxial to optical digital converter and the associated cables.

Note: the second solution being the best in terms of sound quality.

The optical cable will not be enough, as Baladur told you, you need a coaxial -> optical converter
