Alcatel F530 landline phone issues

Hello,
I've had an Alcatel F530 phone for a while now and everything seemed to be going well until a big problem arose with my phone's screen. There is a message: "out of range" what does that mean? Thank you for your insights.

    Hello,
    This means that the handset has lost contact with its base.
    Check that the base is properly powered.
    First, while being close to the base, remove the batteries from the handset and then put them back in (Be careful about the orientation).
