Mouse Scrolling Disabled

Sorry, let me clarify point 3) the scrolling issue occurs when I start a formula inside a cell. Indeed, if the cell is only selected, everything is normal.

Thank you, I just tested it but it still has no effect. My colleague on the other hand doesn't have this problem. I can definitely feel the troublesome key combination :(

Another option to try: Right-click on the bar at the bottom of Excel (the progress bar, or the area where Sum and Average are indicated). Check that Scroll Lock is OFF.

Same here, the box is checked (I've tested both versions - checked / unchecked) + control + scroll in both situations. Nothing! I'm afraid this is going to end with uninstalling/reinstalling Excel...

Same with IntelliMouse (which doesn't live up to its name by the way).

Is this a file created with Excel 2013? If so, Excel 2016 is known for causing havoc with compatibility with Excel 2013 or 2010. It could also be that. Is the problem the same with a document created with Excel 2016?

While waiting to find a solution, here’s a somewhat crude “work-around”:
- Click on the cell and then click on the formula bar to edit it
- Write your formula
- If you roughly know the position of your cells, you can press F5
- A window opens and in the reference field, type in a cell close to your data.

For example: if you want to sum from A500 to A510 approximately, but you’re not exactly sure which cells. Instead of scrolling down with the arrows, press F5 and look for A514. Excel will then directly display the cell and you’ll be able to make your selection manually. Press Esc to return to your starting cell (don’t forget the sign if your formula continues because otherwise Esc will reset your selection).

On Excel 2016 W7 I can't scroll if I click on the formula bar to write. The only way for me to scroll afterwards is either to enter the cell with F2 or re-click on the cell to make the prompt appear again and then scroll.
But it's true that until now it was natural and I never really questioned it, to be honest.

Attention, it's Jauster speaking and not Vincem13 (the author of the topic). I meant to say that I had the same issue as him, but it doesn't shock me. Since I no longer have Excel 2010, I don't know if it's specific to Excel 2016. I'm in Normal view when it won't scroll.

That's why I asked for his version. There are so many oddities in 2016 that nothing surprises me anymore.
Since I only have 2010, I need really special conditions to reach this blockage.

So I've made progress on various forums in English and French. But still no solution.
To be more precise, scrolling with the mouse wheel is blocked only in cell editing or editing via the formula bar. The only way to navigate is by using the arrow keys or the scroll bars. With the huge files I use (200 columns, 1500 rows), you can imagine the hassle and the waste of time....
