Hello,

I JUST CHANGED MY MAC BOOK AND BOUGHT AN eMAC. KNOWING THAT THE eMAC DOES NOT HAVE A CD DRIVE, I just wanted to download OFFICE MAC 2008 and then enter the activation keys...
I can't find the download, and I wanted to know if it was possible, according to the seller, it is..
Thank you in advance for your response

Configuration: Macintosh / Safari 11.0.3

    Hello,

I don't think Office 2008 is available for download... (not certain about what I'm saying...)

However, by using an external drive or by using the drive of another computer with the remote drive method, it should be possible to sort this out:

PS: I assume this is an iMac, not an eMac, which has not been manufactured for ages.

PS 2: When you write your message in uppercase on a forum, it means that you are shouting. So it's best to avoid that :)

    Hello,

If the current Mac is on High Sierra, I'm wondering if Office 2008 is compatible, I have a doubt.

    Hi Francis ;-)

PS: there is an update for Sierra: https://www.microsoft.com/fr-fr/download/details.aspx?id=36897

    Does it work for High???

When it's urgent, it's already too late (Talleyrand)
When everything has failed, read the manual ;)

As far as I know, even in 12.3.6, Office 2008 is starting to show some signs of weakness in High Sierra. This is the "final" update, dating back to May 2016, which is well before the release of Sierra and was only a security update anyway. Any more serious adaptation was abandoned starting March 2013.
