    You need to export them in vcf -->

    Import contacts from Windows Mail (or Windows Live Mail):

    To import contacts into Thunderbird, you must first export them to vCard files (format .vcf) from Windows Live Mail, then import them into Thunderbird.

    In Windows Live Mail, open Contacts and select all the contacts you want to export.
    Click Export > Business Card (.VCF)
