Hello,
I am working on Word (Home and Student) 2013, version 15.0.4981.1001 and I do all my contracts using mail merge.
However, sometimes I need to modify a document individually.
Today, I have an individual document (derived from a mail merge document), all my fields are functioning, I have the first name, last name, etc.
I want to print the document (the same problem occurs when simply converting it to PDF - exporting and saving as does the same), the document is perfect, the print preview is perfect and during printing, all my fields switch to field names...
So, I have "Mr. X" which turns into "<<name>>". My document stays that way afterwards and so does the printout. It is impossible to print my document with the correct fields.
Thank you in advance and please don't hesitate to ask if I am not clear!!

I found the solution! I'm leaving it here in case you have the same problem.
You just had to go to Options>Display>Print Options. Then uncheck Update fields before printing.
There you go! It was so simple, of course!

Hello, according to my memories, you need to save the merge once completed in WORD under the name of another file.
Then it's this one that you print or convert to PDF.-
Hello,
Thank you for your response.
But when I do this, I get an error message:
Unable to save the following item in a document without macros:
°VBA Project
To save a file with these features, click No to return to the Save As dialog, then choose a file type that supports macros from the dropdown list File Type.
Do you want to continue saving as a document without macros?
I click yes, I try to print and I have the same problem with my field names...
