I managed to recover an old mega old account of an acquaintance (not used for several years,it's almost impossible because as I just told you
Outlook/Hotmail deletes unused accounts after one year! So you're just pulling our leg!!! But anyway, happy holidays...

Hello,
Which error message?
Which address are you connecting from?
It gives me the same damn message
Which error message?
Which address are you connecting from?
When I try to log in with my address: ***@*** it says it doesn't exist. Same on Facebook, yet I have an account with it...
And when I go to create a new one, I get this message: "This email address is part of a reserved domain. Please enter another email address." What the hell is this "reserved domain"?! It's mine, not someone else's!
This really pisses me off, because I need my account. How do I get it back?

I don't need your email address.
It is personal and should not be published on public forums.
That's how we end up with spam afterwards.
Are you connecting via this address?
https://login.live.com/fr
Have you tried the "Forgot password" recovery procedure?
Did this happen overnight or is it an address you haven't used in a long time?
Is your computer linked to this account (if you have Windows 10)?

Oh really, okay... If you say so...
You didn't answer my question: what does it mean when the address is part of a "reserved domain"?
What do you mean, through this address? It's a different address that I'm trying to recover... I don't understand your first question.
Yes, I've already tried the password recovery procedure. It's not giving me anything... (there are only error messages) and nothing happens when I confirm.
Well both, since it happened to me out of the blue I haven't been able to use it for a long time. I'm still trying to recover it but I'm not succeeding. Even from Facebook, I can't log in.
Unfortunately yes, my computer is on Windows 10 like all the new computers nowadays.

There's no link for that. Your address may potentially no longer exist, and you can log in to Facebook with your email address and password.
Even if it should be avoided, since in case of forgetfulness, it will be more complicated to recover access to your account!

Where are you entering this email address? You're not in the new email address creation form, are you? You are trying to log in from the link I provided above, right?
The message "Reserved domain" appears when you want to create a new live.com email address (it's no longer possible to create new email addresses on this live.com domain).
In the worst case, I encourage you to contact Microsoft support about this access issue with "Outlook (Hotmail)":
https://support.microsoft.com/contactus

How can my Facebook account exist if my email address (the one that ends with live.com) supposedly no longer exists? It's completely contradictory, I don't understand anything! Is there a way to remove my email address from this reserved domain? Is it really possible to recover it?
I created my two addresses a long time ago, so I don't remember where they are registered. I'm not sure I fully understand your question.
The link you gave me is for my first address (hotmail.com). And it's my second address (live.com) that I am desperately trying to recover for a long time.
I don't see the connection between the two addresses. Uh, how can I log into the second address from the first address (your link)?
I have already tried to contact support many times, and I have never received a response from them... it's the same with Facebook!

Hotmail and Live.com are the same thing. The second email live.com is an email address like the first one. You need to try to log in from this link.
For Facebook, if your account is registered with your "live.com" address, that is your identifier. If your address no longer exists with Live.com, Facebook won't be aware, and you will still be known as "live.com."
You can contact Microsoft support via my link above through chat, it's very quick. They will be able to explain and look into it. You can authenticate with your Hotmail address that you have.

Oh really, okay... well if it's the same thing, why doesn't the second one work and the first one does? I tried it, but it does the same thing (the same message appears) as on the other procedure links.
Well, I entered the address as my identifier on Facebook, but it tells me that it doesn't exist. It's really frustrating not being able to recover my account/address...
Do I need to call support? I never get any responses (in the form of replies) from them to my messages... it just sends me to their useless help page, which is pointless... it's really annoying!

Hello, and Attention
after a certain time!!! Check your email server's terms of service!

I haven't been able to use it for a long time.well, how long has it been? Don't forget that email services systematically delete unused accounts

Hello, since I still can't recover it, I haven't counted how long I haven't been able to use it... I've been trying for a long time now.
I managed to recover a super old account (unused, from an acquaintance), so why is this one (which is mine) marked as: in a reserved domain, or nonexistent?!! What are the terms of service of the mail server? Where can I find them, and how do I use them?

The General Terms of Use that you are supposed to read and accept before any subscription? To summarize, Hotmail deletes all accounts that have been inactive for 1 year ...

I have no disrespect for you at all!!! I'm just putting the dots on the i's and if you don't want to hear negative answers, too bad! But it won't change the fact that if you don't create a new account
you will probably have no access to your old account.
Best regards

Well, let me tell you: leading you on is disrespectful!!! Because it's false... So I'm defending myself (given the unpleasant wording of your messages) by also dotting the i's!
And if several people have told me that it's possible (even if it's difficult), your "almost impossible" isn't necessarily true...
I have already created another account to try to recover my old account... but I'm still unable to do it! That's why I'm asking on the help forums...

Good evening,
Zen, let's stay zen...
E.T. is not wrong when he says that Outlook/Hotmail deletes unused accounts after a year! But this is not a general rule, some accounts slip through the cleanup.
I was also able to recover an old account that hadn't been used for over two years, just out of curiosity; however, another one was lost without me being able to do anything, with the same message "this address does not exist."
@Oriana: if you see the message "this address does not exist," it means the account has been deleted, it no longer exists, and you won't be able to recover it.

Good evening,
I didn't say he was wrong, but that it wasn't necessarily true either.
In fact, that's also what I was told. Because the one I was able to recover was just as unused as yours.
The message I get most often is "this address is part of a reserved domain."
It's strange to see my Facebook account (from my live.com address) still active, while I can't log in to it... telling me that it doesn't exist.

Well, I already tried with that link before coming to this forum, hence my reply to that person.
That's right, good for you, ignore it...
Best regards.
