Hi everyone,
Here's my problem: I want to use my Huawei P10 with the projector at my school. So I bought this adapter (https://www.boulanger.com/ref/8002816 at the nearby Boulanger. However, of course, I get home and it doesn't work!
The USB works fine (although it's a bit tight!), the Type-C charges correctly, but the HDMI output just doesn't respond! I tested it directly with the cable I'm currently using on my screen. Basically, the cable is fine! Maybe I missed a step on the phone; right now it's in "reverse charging" mode and only changes status when I plug in the USB or Type-C.
Do you have any ideas on the reasons for these malfunctions? Do you have any suggestions for things you've already tested on a Huawei P10 (or via Type-C on a smartphone)?
Thanks in advance for any feedback!
Smoofy.

Hello,
Do you have any ideas about the reasons for these malfunctions? Do you have any suggestions for tricks that you have already tested on a Huawei P10 (or via USB Type-C on a smartphone)?
Just because the connector is the same (USB Type-C) doesn’t mean the functionalities are present.
The adapter you bought is primarily intended for computers with USB Type-C ports of the "Thunderbolt 3" type since the new Thunderbolt standard also uses a USB Type-C connector, but has many more functions than a traditional USB, including display capability.
Moreover, on Boulanger's website:
Compatible model(s) Mac / PC
It is not indicated that it is compatible with mobile devices, and it is not listed in the accessories intended for mobile, therefore the phone will not be able to output via this type of adapter.

Hello, to answer your question, it's the phone that isn't compatible with HDMI. For example, on the P30 Lite, the port isn't detected, but on the P30 or P30 Pro, there is a connection message confirming it, and the phone's screen appears on the TV. So there you go, no message means not compatible. I hope I was able to help you ????????
