System image backup failed

Hello,
I am trying to perform a system backup to an external USB drive connected to my HP ENVY laptop from 2013.
I am getting an error message: "This feature is not available in a mobile workstation environment." My device running WIN 8.1 is certainly not a mobile device. What should I do?

    Good evening, this function exists

    put your hard drive
    right click on the square at the bottom
    choose control panel
    file history
    at the bottom left system backup
    then back up

    the procedure you described is exactly the one I initially followed.
    But I keep getting the same message:
    "This feature is not available in a mobile workstation environment"

    Hello, do you still have free or paid software? I used to use Acronis, which was really good and in French but not free.

      I will make sure to try Clonezilla as soon as I have a moment.
      That said, I don't understand why I am encountering this problem: it seems that I am the only French speaker affected. I haven't found anything on the web.
