I've been having a problem for some time where the level of my microphone decreases by itself after a while.
I looked on some forums but I didn't find anything. I'm sure it's not an issue with the headset (I use a headset with a microphone) as it works on other PCs.
It's also not a driver issue; they're all up to date. I don't know what to do, please help me!!

    Hi,

Don't you have a software like Skype, Teamspeak, Discord or something similar that occasionally uses the microphone?

Generally, these types of software have a setting to take control of the microphone settings, including automatic volume adjustment, and this can sometimes cause that kind of behavior...

I have Skype, but it doesn't change anything if I stay on the microphone level window; after a while, the bar starts to drop and goes down to zero even though Skype is not open.

Uncheck the automatic adjustment options in the various settings of the different software.

Just because Skype is not in use (call or active window) does not mean that certain processes are not running in the background.

I completely uninstalled Skype and it seemed to work, but it's buggy again.

I didn't say to "uninstall" but rather to disable the feature...

Moreover, it's not just "Skype" but other software that can interfere, sometimes even the audio controller that manufacturers pre-install on their computers.

Aside from the modification via software, I don't see much other explanation.

My microphone being too low, I used the software EqualizerAPO and I was able to increase the input volume, but I can't see the volume decreasing over time.
