Sending an email to Italy

Hello,
I would like to send an email to Italy (ending in it) and Outlook displays a message:
Outlook does not recognize "it".
Can someone give me some information?

    The fact that it's a .it address shouldn't be a problem...

    Are you sure the address is correct?
    What does the error message from Outlook say when you send it?

    The only thing you can do is to send it from another platform like Gmail for example, or for the person with the .it domain to change their email to a .com.

      Hello Guiguicaro, and thank you for the response, but the person in question is a town hall, and I doubt I can get them to change their email.
      I will send my request by mail.
