Remove missing link?

Hello everyone,

I've been pulling my hair out for 3 hours.

I have an InDesign document with a missing link (an old mask that I no longer use). It still appears on my page and I can't delete it in the links window.
Even after permanently deleting the link from my HDD, it's still there in my document...
Is there no option to remove a link from an InDesign document?

Is there a kind soul to come to my rescue? :'(

Thank you!

You need to delete it from the document..

In the link palette, select it and then click on the "wait for the link" icon (at the bottom of the link palette)

It will be selected in the document.. and you delete it.

If it exists multiple times, repeat the operation.

Thank you for your help.

First of all, when I access the link, nothing happens. I tried re-editing the link, it works, but then how do I delete it from my link palette? I don't see any option...

your link must be outside the page..
Display the entire work plan

Oh, but I see it on my page, it's there, but I don't know how to delete it, that's my problem. In Photoshop, you just have to delete the layer; is there no similar option in InDesign?

If you see it, you select it (black arrow tool) and then press the "Delete" or "Sup" key.

is it not locked? (object=>everything unlocked)

or on a locked layer?

Exactly, it was on a locked layer, I discovered that yesterday!
Good answer from Cirelot :)
