Table not following on a page

Hello everyone,
I've already looked into the topic but I can't find the answer to my question.
In Word, I create a table, and the first cell is misaligned with the others, leaving a huge empty space on the rest of the page. My table ends up being split in two with an empty space, hence straddling two pages.
I've already unchecked the "Allow row splitting" box and can't find any other way to fix this issue... Also, when I try to delete this first cell, I still have the space on the page, the rest of the table doesn't move up, and I can't delete this empty space; I can't select it...
If anyone has any ideas, that would be great!
Thank you very much :)
Configuration: Windows / Internet Explorer 11.0

Hello, it's difficult to be precise without checking your file.
The line breaking applies to each row of the table, not to the entire table.
Each row of the table is a paragraph; it might be the options of these paragraphs (page break before, keep with next) that are causing the behavior you're observing.
