Wifi not turning back on Packard Bell

Hello,

I’m having a problem with a Packard Bell laptop: the Wi-Fi remains disabled and the icon to reactivate it has disappeared. The Windows troubleshooting says to press the "Wi-Fi activation key," which is the one on the keyboard, but nothing happens. I’m currently using a Wi-Fi box connected via USB to the laptop, but a laptop is supposed to be portable, and this problem prevents me from taking it anywhere without this Wi-Fi box.

I’m looking for someone who can give me a hint on some software manipulation (the Wi-Fi card is functional since it’s detected during the Windows troubleshooting), whatever it may be.

Best regards,
Sincerely, Baptiste.

P.S.: The PC is running Windows 8 (not 8.1).

Hello everyone,

Have you tried the FN key and for example F2 (that's just an example) to reactivate the wifi?

Following what you said:

press the "wifi activation key"

Best regards

Hello Aunt Elise,

So yes, I tried, it's actually the F3 key, but nothing happens, as if the key is dead. Is there any other way to reactivate the wifi besides the key that seems to be dead?

Hello Bandit Canary

Have you tried FN F3?

F3, FN+F3, and Ctrl+F3, none of them work.
