Kit USB FDD (appareil numérique..)

Indeed, this is a 3.5" floppy disk drive. It's an external drive with USB connection, and it looks like this:

Yes, except that your picture shows a CD drive, not a floppy disk drive.

Floppy disks are not used much anymore... they’re quite dated for starting PCs back in the DOS or Windows 3 days, for example, but there are still applications where the only way to enter the Sésam is like this..

-- That said, this device still needed the USB to already exist...?? Whereas often USB only worked after loading Windows. Its utility is not obvious.
