Retrieve my archived SMS

Hello, so here's the thing, I'm changing my phone but I'm worried about losing important messages. I'd like to know how I can retrieve my messages THAT HAVE ALREADY BEEN ARCHIVED for over a year. I downloaded SMS Backups & Restore, but it only saves my SMS and MMS from now on. I'd really like to recover my archives; does anyone know how to do that?
Or in which folder on my Android phone can I find them?
