Hello,

I need an answer!
I sometimes get lost on pornographic sites, but this time I received a pop-up message that appeared on my smartphone saying something like "it's the police" along with the name of the city where the nearest police station is located, and also that I've been browsing these sites multiple times.
It also said that I've watched videos depicting rape, minors, and more! When that is not the case at all.
In my panic, I didn't read the end of the message, and I would like to know if I'm at risk of anything?

Hello,

Assuming you have sailed in illegal waters, the police wouldn't just slap you with a pop-up, but you would at best be summoned, and at worst be woken up at dawn with a search and seizure of your equipment!

That happens to us very often too, and we don't know why..

It wasn't the REAL Police talking to you, but certainly a Blackmailer who couldn't extort you because you cut them off immediately.

If the scammer contacts you again, send them a serious message.

And when you go out again, make sure to bring detailed maps or - better yet - a GPS. This will prevent you from unknowingly ending up on shady, gross sites.

Hello, this is a scam message related to a popup from careless ad networks and websites.
You are absolutely not in danger, you can browse as many porn sites as you want.

As for the name of your city, it's simply that they use geolocation via your IP.

Once again, don't pay any attention to it.

The same goes for the popups that supposedly come from Windows informing you that your PC is infected and that you need to call a premium-rate number to fix the problem.

I also received an email this weekend from a commissioner, with the name of the police station, and with evidence. Following that, I deleted this email from my inbox and I can no longer find it in my deleted emails. Please reply to me quickly, this is bothering me.
